American pornographic actress who became a pioneering producer and director of couples-oriented, sex-positive feminist adult film. After performing in adult films in the late 1970s and early 1980s, she founded Femme Productions in 1984 to make pornography from a woman's perspective. She was inducted into both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame and died in 2015.
