Sharon Mitchell is an American former pornographic actress and director who made roughly 1,000 adult films over a 20-year career beginning in the mid-1970s, including 38 as a director. She is a member of the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame and received the Free Speech Coalition Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993. After leaving performing she became a sexologist and in 1998 founded the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation (AIM), which provided STD testing to adult industry workers until its closure after a 2011 data breach.
