Stoya is an American adult-film performer, writer, and director who began performing in 2007 as an early alt-porn contract star for Digital Playground. She won the AVN Best New Starlet and XBIZ New Starlet of the Year awards, co-founded adult production ventures, appeared in the mainstream science-fiction film A.I. Rising, and writes on sexuality for outlets including Slate and The New York Times.
